KG 507 Side Pod

KG presents the new 507 fairing model, combined with the adjustable rear protection (min 1340 mm, max 1400 mm) model C3, compliant with the new FIA regulations. With the 507 project we aimed at a systematic approach aimed at improving the aerodynamic aspect, optimizing the areas with the highest front impact, therefore responsible for an increase in resistance to forward movement. The result is therefore a particularly enveloping front, but never with flat surfaces. CFD research led to an improvement in overall drag by 7.28% (compared to the previous 506 model).

 

The 507 fairings are particularly compact with a weight of only 550 g, to the full advantage of driving dynamics. Our greatest satisfaction, however, comes from the new 508 faceplate, which is the standard 507 option. The 508 model is a real design object for drag reduction through a venturi duct aimed at accelerating and diverting part of the flow from the pilot himself. This allows for an additional 2% reduction in total drag.
